realization

I realize I’m better than what I thought I was
That my human needs are all that I need
I have created a beautiful world around me
I’ve learned to cope with my new life
I learned what love was
And I learned what it meant to have it taken away
I learned that though you don’t always get what you want,
If your oatient and willing
Something better will come your way
And if nothing does
It must be of your own will
The human brain is a powerful thing
I put mine to work more often than not.
And I find such beautiful things
The whole world around me is a beautiful landscape
Even the stale air is calming
If only I let it
And I find that when I don’t
I ruin myself for the moment

But I’ve only had 5 hours of sleep in the last few  days
And I’ve started drinking my coffee black…

Damn it tastes good…

Love life how it is,
And it will always get better.
See life on the downside,
And you’re sure to fall to ruin.
