No Title...(usually don't have one)

It's a sweet siren
A beguiling mistress
This depression of mine

It always calls me back
Lures me to it over and over
Breaking me down again

Sweeping me away
On a flood of desolation

Stranding me
In a field of loneliness

It beckons me
Crooks its little finger
Pulling me back

Back to where I never wanted to be

What do you think?

    Welcome to Allpoetry!

The personification of your illness into a temptation - a woman who captures you and pulls you back... that is brilliant. Excellent word choice, and imagery. Your last line is a killer. Something every depressant can relate to.
