I need to know you
the way the city sidewalks
knew me that autumn,
they were intimate
and I was lonely.

How come that autumn and falling leaves always leave us nostalgic and make us remember "falling"? So beautiful and soft this is, Scott... hope your autumn is beautiful.

I like this, but I'm not convinced by that ending. The reasoning given seems too easy. I know that sounds ridiculous when you only had 21 words, but that was part of the challenge inherent - how much can you say in such a short space? I like the simplicity of this piece, but I'm worried about whether or not it really says anything besides, well, what it says.

Ahhh, Scribe. You do melancholy so well. Good luck in Connor's contest.
