Ophelia my dear, did you ever consider
The way your eyes shine
When the moon awakens?
It takes a dance across your face
And you grasp its hand for a minuet.
Swirling and dipping in its catch
The fireflies twirl at your feet.
You’re in step with the moon’s serenade
And it flies you to its ebony realm.
Ophelia, you’re in unison with the moon’s deep whispers--
It sweeps its hush all over you
And dresses you in a gown of stars.
It kisses you with a silent night.
Cold in stark darkness we’re all alone.
You seduced the moon, Ophelia,
You sapped away its saffron shine.
But the sun will paint the sky
Of tomorrow’s day,
We’ll dance with *her* one more.
Author notes
A work in progress, methinks.
Any specific suggestions? Ideas for a better title?

I like this very much, dear. Very, very much. Although I do think that the *her* in the last line would look better in italics?

Thanks lovely! I agree with italics--I just forgot how to do them.
