Trumpets

The herald will blast a piercing sound at the
Return of our Creator and King. The
Universe will reverberate with the power that He brings
Many will look to conceal in the dens and caves to
Perchance hide from His sight
Every word and action known and revealed
The Christ humbles with His might
Saints rejoice at His coming, sinners seek stealth!

    While I appreciate the subject, the problem with acrostics is that they can be awkward with the wording. This is a bit muddy in that respect. The line:

    Many will look to conceal in the dens and caves to

    just does not read right. Conceal is the problem. Perhaps instead of "to conceal" you could try "for concealment". The syntax just does not sit well.

    Otherwise nice enough.

      for your read & comment. I understand your point, but if you could 'hear' the timing as I hear it in my mind & as I speak it you'd see why I wrote this as I did. Perhaps when I do a video performance of this I'll send you the link so you can hear it. I appreciate your candor. I like that. Acrostics are among my fav form & I mostly get complimented for the textures. Can't please everyone.

        And I understand about rhythm. However, my concern was the usage of the term in the context of the line. I am not displeased with the form; I have written a few myself. The comment was grammatical in nature.
