Immortality and individuality.

Man and machine,
Man versus machine.

When both are one -
But in a dark impenetrable fortress of a night,

A man is a man,
A Machine a Machine, it seems like,

In a thousand years a true human emerges,
from a factory of zombies to dare to ask the question

"Why"

While the rest of the machines work like they have been programmed to.
While this one seems to have escaped.

Where was he born?
Why is he here?

He seeks knowledge,(Translation):More than he needs to know:
Our leaders do not lie to us, we know that for sure.
Do as you're told.Without question.

And you wonder why we leave so early,
Out of utter despair and feeling so lonely?
No individuality.....
No intellectuality....
Men seem to be wanting to control machines,
Not realizing that,
out of some un-sacred and secret cause,
they have been enslaved by that possession.

Man's true nature is inquisitive,
and somehow that has been quelled.

Now can you understand why,
We don't want to be with you?

If you can't,
Don't try.

Author notes

"the best often die by their own hand
just to get away, and those left behind,
can never quite understand why anybody
would ever want to get away from them"

I found this so interesting to be honest. The machine idea is so unique and something I've not seen before. The flow to this was wonderful. I felt all of the deeper emotions as well. Creative take on the prompt. Thanks for entering and good luck.
