I'm hoping I can win,
I could really use the points.
And now I'm feeling tingly,
From my nerves straight to my joints.
25000 points, that would really work for me.
Then I could give some to others,
And make contests for poetry.
Wow- I'm really anxious,
I can't believe the gold.
I'm trying to write different.
I'm trying to write bold.
Please tell me you are kidding-
Actually, please do not.
I really want to win some,
Then I will have a lot.
Please please consider me,
It would make my very day,
Then I will be so grateful,
And it will take my breath away.
Author notes
Please please consider me, it will make my very day!

Some parts don't flow very smoothly, other parts work okay. Over all I wouldn't say its down right brillainst but, its got potential. Your a young writter so you should work with what you come across, you obviously want to win, this poem reflects that so put more emphisism and feelings into it. don't tell us what you'll do if you win or why you want to, show us. Make us really feel.
My eyes are the bruised blue of dusk,
I've been dreaming of a moment like this
Dark ribbons folding in the sky
Tonight i'll be the only star
Bright enough to be glimpsed from children's windows...
Diamond ice creases my olive skin,
Thoughts spill black trails of ink
Over pages of words
That make so little sense
To my warn out mind...
But one thing remains clear in the clouds,
I've still got a silver linning
A chance, a flicker of hope
That they'll see it in my eyes
Bruised blue of dusk that once reached of for gold...
Something like that, it would just give a better strike to it I think!
Best of luck in both contests,
