Forgotten waves and lost souls,
Second shooters on grassy knolls,
Newborn dreams tossed to the wind,
A half-lived life one can't rescind.
Drifting helpless upon this stream,
Is consciousness not but a dream?
Stand atop the marble cliff,
All you'll hear: a sad ska riff,
Dancing through perceptions err'd,
When mind and thought hath been impaired,
Stole away by ignorant bliss,
All trace of Truth one will dismiss,
Contradictory it does seem,
In which Life is but a dream,
Through looking-glass eyes all is seen,
for reality has never been.
What did you think?

I like this one a lot! I like your choice of words and flow. It`s beautiful and sad at the same time. If I had to pick a favorite line, I would choose: Stole away by ignorant bliss, because this is something that I say quite often. Thanks for sharing with us!

Great!
I am not completely sure what this poem means. Does it mean something like reality might be a dream or something like that. I really enjoyed it though. Poems even if they don't always have a clear meaning can be very splendid and enjoyable. -

I was going to originally not respond to this question and leave you to think what you would about it, but I got bored.
It's basically about how the past is over-exaggerated in some aspects, or even fabricated completely, and retold as it is now, even if the events being told never existed.
Everyone's past has some form of lie in it, regardless of how big or how small. Some events in the past aren't really what they make of it due to the perception of said events, and some events never even happened.
