lines sketched by a hesitant
pencil, smudged and
tentative,
formed letters and words,
thoughts explode
on the page
-a spinning kaleidoscope
that leaves you dizzy
colorful words, raining
down hard in hopes
that the aftermath
of this, leaves
a rainbow - bright
enough to see
to show and
explain, those
lines in the letter,
and the lines on
my hand, the flex
of muscle, grit of
teeth, the frown
that forms clenched
fists,
a deep breath
the snap of lead,
crumbling paper
then relief.
it just needed to be written
not necessarily read.

Congratulations on earning the Silver Chalice. You took pen to paper and shared the frustration of trying to force the right words to come. Some days it takes more effort than others. That "snap of the lead" does it for me more times than I care to mention. LOL
Great work!
Much Love & Respect ♥
