I'm Done

I know that loves to much to ask
none I've found up for the task
They say they will, but they won't
swear they can, but they don't

I give my trust and try my best
I dream of more to receive less
I try and try yet still fall short
my last love took me to court

So I'm done searching for love
place my heart with God above
I ask the Lord to give me peace
untie the knot to say the least

Help to heal my broken heart
from all lost love it's torn apart
I just want to find a friend
to hold my hand until the end

Life is hard all by one's self
I tried love to share the wealth
searched and searched, now I'm done
my loves arrow found no one

Heart is shelved and arrow lost
loneliness seems to be the cost
I just want to find a friend
to hold my hand until the end!

I lost love many times. The pain is hard, but there is hope. I found it when I wasn't looking and Have been happy every day sence(some hours tested me). Don't ever say never, but don't throw it everywhere iether. Good luck and don't forget I still love ya!

    This piece touches the heart
    I, too, have lost love so many times (or what I "thought" was love; still hurts the same! ) but then God gave me the most priceless gift....

    oh wow. this is sad...but not tearful...sounds like the person has accepted his fate and trying to be content, yet there is still some hope within

    wow, amazing write! I have felt this way and sometimes have given up. I never found the one to hold my hand until the end (yet). I hope he is still out there somewhere but this gave me hope.
