I've got a fever and the chills
and mucus in my throat,
I cough and splutter all night long
as Kleenex I promote.
You see I bought ten boxes
and maybe even more,
I'm spitting up that mucus
and coughing much, much more.
My throat feels like the bottom
of a birdie's cage you know,
I'm sucking cough drops day and night
but this flu I cannot throw.
I'm tucked up with my blanket
I'll just have to ride it through
and buy some shares in Kleenex
and a cough drop company too!
