Sitting at the computer talking to my friend
Life as I knew it almost came to an end
A steamy conversation typed across the screen
Lost in fantasy almost like a dream
Who are you talking to, I heard my husband's voice
I had to think of something; I didn't have much choice
I tried to hide the words and create in his mind doubt
He said, `Take your damn computer and get the hell out'
I lied and said it was someone else, what he thought he saw was wrong
Thinking of another lie didn't take me long
I said he ruined his birthday and the plans I was making
With my arms around his neck professing love while faking
I know I'll have to pay and I've made my own bed
But for tonight at least I know, I have a place to lay my head.
