Untitled III

From where does hate spring fourth,

Killing the love we held?

How can people be so cold?

How did this begin?

Why is it so easy,

 To hate, to kill,to hurt?

Why can't we just love

Where did the peace go?

Who has that dream,

of smiling faces, kind hearts?

Where nobody is lonely,

 Where nobody is hurt.

It starts with only one,

 Hold your tongue, don't hate,

 Love your fellow humans

It begins with you and I.

    Love it

One or the other you can get, smiling faces and kind hearts but those are the ones easily lonely and hurt, broken hearted by the hate they oppose. When I step on an ant I think of the ant's world and the sadness that must come with being crushed or lost and me being part of that horrible end of stepping on one. Life full of hope for generations to come but what of their hope that life will not end and their parents will not die. A famous playwrite wrote "Nothing is either good or bad but thinking makes it so" I wonder about your world, like Nickleback where no one dies, no one hates, no one kills but it's our nature we fight. We must destroy to live and we must be destroyed so others may live. But the words you write of hope will live forever
