Add Me to Your Family

Older than I look, I'm told. But 53 is not that old.
I'm a mother, grandmother, wife, and daughter. 
I think you can guess the gender.
Gifts of encouragement come with me. 
A wise addition to your family.
With broken heart I'd show I cared
with words of hope, quickly shared.
Do my best to give you wisdom,
but only as asked, granting you freedom.
When at home I turn my messenger on,
but a lot of the time at work I'm gone.
If more of my heart you desire to see,
you'll find it written in my poetry.

    lol a cool poem...and yes with some people like you, one can indeed find the heart in the poetry...but not many have your talent....hence the reader ploughs through hundreds of lines of waffle seeking for the soul behind the poem....methinks you have cracked it ,,,well done and thanks

    And as I linked here, just as striking to me as your words were, in this case, was the fact that I had used this very same background for my most recent poem... and almost the same color scheme too. I guess we think alike
