The rain taps at my window,
calling to me, for me; longing,
for me to go outside and dance
in the purity of diamond droplets.
To cleanse this shell of past hurts
and feelings infecting the blood,
poisoning the mind ever so slowly.
Do you miss me at all, mon ange,
or have you cleansed yourself of me,
erasing all the feelings you had
and all the memories we shared?
Did you step out into the rain,
into the purity of diamond droplets
and let them slowly wash over you?
Did you do what I am doing now,
dancing in the diamond droplets,
hands stretched up to the sky
as I rid myself of this infection.
