crossroads

Poem "crossroad"
Here I stand, surrounded by family yet so alone, my pack just out of reach, I hear them calling to me. Why can't I move? I see them just ahead, yearning for my company, as much as I yearn for theirs, but im stuck, unable to move forward.

Something is pulling me. I glance back to witness ghostly faces, calling just as fiercely as those ahead, and here I am stuck between them.

A voice calls from the left. I look, but see nothing, only feel. Feel anger, hate, love, joy and confusion, the feelings im all too familiar with.

Another voice calls, this time a calm, gentle voice calling from the right. I turn and there appears a glass child, so fragile and so frail, walking out from the darkness, this hallow being starring souly at me through bright blue eyes. Those eyes piercing me with worry, the worry of time running out, and yet again I'm stuck.

Being pulled in every direction, unable to move. Stuck from my own doing and only I can choose the path that is best for me.

        I've heard:
People in the past were put there for a reason and it is best to leave them there......... the question is whether or not I believe it

would you be brutaly honest?

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!
