The clouds lay heavily
This autumn morning
Surrounding me, blanketing my heart
Enshrouding the world around me
Bringing sharp, crisp focus on one solitary thought -
I miss you
Years and miles apart, yet today, in this mist
I miss the thought of you
I miss free thoughts of you mingling with
happiness and trust
A veil now distorts those thoughts
I am adrift in this fog of emotion
that now dims the light you were in my soul
You are missed
You are mist

    Wow very beutiful and sad, I like the imagery. I was trying to write something similar to this awhile ago but no such luck. I am glad that I have not now, because it would pale in comparison to this The love you hold for someone years after they are gone. Much like a perfume lingers in the air, this love lingers in your heart, mind, and soul. Excellent write, keep it up!
