"I don't know how you're supposed
To find me lately
And what more could you ask of me
How could you say that I never needed you
When you took everything
Said you took everything from me" - Estranged
If you can't forgive me, I'll trace your smile,
Prism of oblivion and fate.
Tomorrows all combine into yesterday and I,
Like a mountaineer looking down a glacial peak,
Am lost for the necessary words.
I compromised and defeated,
Broke and betrayed you. I promised stars, but
Only delivered estrangement. And now your broken sighs,
Mascara bleeding cries,
And lack of surprise are agony to me.
Superimposed melancholia haunts my tarnished remembrance.
If you can't forgive me, I beg, don't forget me.
