Late at night with creased bedsheets
Steady as the rain outside
Your words, they keep me company
Cho:
Oh...
Why can't you be the silence
in my memory?
Stop haunting this place inside
Coz you're not meant to be the one
The one my heart beats for...
II. Tell something brand new now
I've heard that lie before
Don't come back till you find
the truth that sets you free
Bridge:
Dear Ghost just leave me be
I've had enough
I don't want to feel you touch
when you're not around/not here...
(end in Chorus)
Author notes
15th of October 09
I wrote this last night. The feeling of wanting memories of someone to dissolve and just vanish from you is the basis of my song. I originally wanted it to be a poem, but then I got this tune in my head and the poem turned into a song. I haven't got the chords sorted out, but in time I shall polish it.
This is the second one.
They say time helps you move on...But are strong memories the evidence that time does not help in 'moving on' but in preserving the past reality?
Please tell me what you think
