Keep Walking...

It is going to be a long journey
I am all groomed for it
I know not what lies ahead
Ignorance sure is bliss
You should read that from my face

The first rocky path?
I consider a fun experience!
So I slide and fall,
I pick myself up
And I keep walking

OK.

Now this thorny trees sure are determined
I am irked, thirsty, and the sun has no mercy
The thorny trees seem like a useless bunch
Since they offer no shield at all
I keep thinking I am walking down my last rocky hill
So I am looking forward, surging ahead
I am fast so I can be first!
But geez, there is always one more rocky hill to go down
So maybe, I should focus on the glistening waters
That look quite inviting and closer than the foot of the hill
My partners are all shuffling ahead
Our throats gone dry with the heat
Our mouths tasteless with the constant sip of water

Heaven:

The river closes in
I look around
No care in the world
I strip down to my birthday suit
and immerse my body in it
The waters are flowing through the contours of my body
creating a tingling and cool sensation
If this is it,
I can trek twice

Re-energized:

I look back,
The rocks, the heat, the thorn trees
They lose meaning
I am heading to a better place
And with everything heavy in my soul
I leave it all there
Every feeling of stress, pain, hurt, loneliness
enmity, anger, bitterness, I simply breathe it all out

Heaven two:

I am on the shore of the lake
watching the flamingoes
creating beautiful patterns
Giving the lake a beautiful outline
Like a pool adorned with beautiful rose petals
Of pink and white
Delicately floating
Giving out the sensuous scent of a fresh cut lawn
And sunbathing, and once in a while
They make flight to warmer places

So we eat,
We drink
We make merry
We dance, we swim
We scream in joy
We sleep next to the zebras
We massage
We lull
We sing
We laugh
We talk
We make friends
We live

We live like life should be

Absolute bliss!

the words and descriptions are wonderful

  • The discription and variety of words makes this a pleasing read although the style is slightly choppy it still calls forth a positive response from th reader
