Simple Reflections

With simple reflections...
I envision a special love betwixted our hearts
Forever celebrating a deep, intimate and unwavering bond.
Always there to guide and inspire us,
Showing us how precious we truly are.
Our two linked hearts embrace,
Both wrapped in an innocence of love.
A special gift from Heaven.
Yet not exactly as God intended.

Oh, then, how can it be?
Achingly I desire to love you in a certain way,
Yet knowing in my heart of hearts
It can never truly be... the way my heart has always dreamed.

This is actully two verses of a longer poem and the most important ones. I hope it works in the contest... if not, DQ, if you must. Thank you.

    Hmmm...Overall, I really liked this. The word usage is...I guess the best word would be "pretty". I love the way many lines in this poem were worded.

    A special gift from Heaven.
    Yet not exactly as God intended.

    This was one of the parts that stuck out the most to me, although there are, as I said, many parts of the poem where I just loved the way it flowed. Very good, and good luck to you in the contest.

    I really enjoyed your word choice, the puzzling together of a larger work is a hard thing to do so I can appreciate that. Nice work I will allow it in the contest thank you for your entry.

    TOUCHING!!!!

    One often sits back and ponders on what feelings they have or maybe had with a special someone. I have had one or two people in my past who made a very sincere and wonderful memory in my heart. Me and them did not ever get together but did share important times and created some special fond memories in my heart.
