my feet kissed the worn crusty earth, causing a stirrup of dust and sand to settle inside the soles of my ripped and tattered shoes. I've strolled alongside these tracks for centuries of minutes, increasing the mounds of dirt collecting inside of my closest and most beloved friends. I shuffle the gravel beneath my feet and absentmindedly allow my clogged mind to run free for the short amount of time that it can. The mental images that were produced contained only your face and the bittersweet moments of us together. I viewed myself enduring some of the most excruciating syllables ever formed, and man, did they really hit home hard. I then realized that my teeth were clamped down on my lower lip and blood was seeping in between my dry, cracked lips, the salt causing a brief stinging pain to ensue.

Powerful and expressive are your words
I love the way your words came alive as I read
and felt the blood and the taste...
best wishes
