Anywhere but by your side
It feels like a lifetime ago
That I was reaching out to help a friend
The one I loved so deeply that I rested my heart in her hands
So I could be the one she turned to
I would not disappoint
I would not bring discontent
Nor would I leave her questioning in her fears
Of being left alone in torment
She is that which is delicate and captivating
She takes my breath away with one blink of her eye
I am he who watches over her by night
When you are done by day
My unknown friend, I make one wish for you
That you would embrace this vision at your bedside
And make up your mind where you want to be
For I know definitively where I would be..
She loves and longs, and dreams deeply for you
Don't disappoint her when she wakes up

Beautifully done my friend, beautifully done. the imagery alone speaks volumes and the emotions are such that they pierce the heart and soul.

This reads as though you are speaking a warning to someone. I like how you used the title of my picture and the description.
I feel like you wrote this about me... mainly because the picture is of me, and I'm the one sleeping. And also, if I imagine that it's referring to me, I get chills and that's what I wanted to feel when reading entries to my contest. Not much to ask really, is it? lol. You have some really nice images here, like your heart resting in her hands, embracing the vision at his bedside, taking your breath away with one blink of her eye. Beautiful.
