Women and children rush across the street.
Cars zoom forward to unseen destinations.
Droplets of water dance down the sky,
sliding off awaiting umbrellas.
Puffs of smoke escape my mouth; My breaths,
as I laugh wholeheartedly.
You spin into the downpour,
pulling me along into movement.
Stopping all traffic with this little charade,
Horns blare as you smile and wave; I just shrug my shoulders.
Passing observers turn their eyes to us.
Somehow we are the center of attention.
A deep kiss on my lips; the world freezes.
The cold, the horn, the people no longer exist.
You pulled a fantasy from my heart
and created an unforgetable reality.
A collective sigh fills the breeze; we all inhale.
The world echoes the sentiment "he is loved".
My hand finds itself twined within your fingers,
where its always belonged.
