I searched the world wide web over
looking for my soul mate
I doubted you even existed
but I gave myself to fate

I had the perfect ideal
of the person you should be
the exact height and type
that I envisioned would be right for me

Oh but on the world wide web
so many options abound
and I never knew someone like you existed
what a true treasure I have found

You didn't fit the perfect mold
that my past likes had set for me
but when we found each other
I knew we were meant to be

I had given up on love
until I looked into your eyes
and in that sweet moment
my heart found a truly great surprise

Love had not forsaken me
like I had once thought
it was just hidden on the Internet
in you is the love I have sought

yours eyes simply bewitch me
and your smiles warms my soul
I get drunk on your kisses
and when I hold you I never want to let you go

So thank you great love God
of the powerful Internet
If it weren't for you
I may not have found my love yet

And to anyone who is reading

For there are a million people waiting
take it from me Internet love is not dumb

So for anyone who seeks love
the Internet has someone there for you
someone like my love who is so much more
then anything I imagined, a total dream come true

    Did you actually find love on the internet? I guess that could happen, I live alone, but I'm not lonely, for some reason I'm having fun being alone. It seems like I know everybody in the world though. I just love meeting people. I love singers and authors and men that write poems.

    It seems I have been to judgemental on your poem for this I do apologize. I guess I'm just a simple minded country boy who does get some forms of humor. I myself am no poet this is why Uncledunk is a judge as he understands poetry. Please do not give up on this contest as the trophies have not been awarded yet. The proper way I should have handle this was to ask you the meaning of your poem. Once again please accept my deepest apology as I meant no harm. God bless and thank you for joining the contest. I only hope we get more enteries it seems that people are not enterest in this contest.

    Okay it had it moments of humor, but I have to ask was this a message that you don't approve this contest. There was no harm ment in this contest it was just for fun. It just leaves me wondering if you wrote this for spite as your line reads "take it from me internet love is not dumb". It seems as if I rub a sore spot and hurt your feelings, anyway I will leave it in the contest as there is no rule that says you cannot state your opinion. Thanks for entering and good luck.
