The Love of the Deceased

A shadow in the wind
Transparent to the human eye
She whispers in your ear
"Please know i'm still here"
A soft chill swirls through the night air
It ruffles the sheets on your bed
A gentle touch brushes the hairs on your head
You lay there,living without cause
Your lover had died from the collision of cars
The pain you feel, you say its real
Masked friends ignore your plea
Showing you the life ahead
A life full of fakes and lies
Of false happiness and cries
Your gaze smolders with blank intensity
Your eyes cold and harsh
Blood shot from nights without sleep
Haunted by your repetitive dreams
Your gaze still as stone, it sends chills deep within their bones
The heart you once knew, full of life and love
Now deteriorates as the funeral song is sung
"My love, I miss you" a struggling voice speaks through gritted teeth
Holding back the tears that scream
Her invisible eyes glistened as she cried
"I miss you too"
A muffled cry filled the vacant and cold room
He fell to his knees,an open wound
A crystal tear formed and fell from her ghostly cheek
As she knelt down on her knee
She wrapped her arms around his body her sadness left unseen
He sat there and sulked and mourned his beauties death
As he slowly drifted and was laid to rest
She looked at him with shining eyes
As she laid her lifeless body down next to his side
Wishing she was alive.
