The spectrum of virginal delight leaving the prism's threshold
Whispered the secret of Iris' colours in my ear
The vibgyor is spinningwheel in the fair of lights
And the colours are blended into white sublime truth
As it moves in rotatory motion on air's invisible wings
Violet the modesy colour of virgins
Is like the whisper of first love, pure and shy
Indigo is the hue on which the diamonds of stars smile
The blood of the pen that flows
To create verse on paper bosoms
With imagination whispering in eloquence
Blue is the hue of benevolence like heart of the sky and the sea
Green is the color reflected in cunning feline eyes
Or the color of tranquility and fertility, abundance
Yellow is the colour of cheerful mustard blossoms
And the colour of devotion that paints the sunflower
Orange is the colour of autumn and of succulent tangy oranges
Also the colour that paints both dawn and dusk
And last is red colour of passion, of decadence
The colour of the forbidden apple...

You are v obstinate! Only one 'p' in 'opinion' !
Very heavy, so full of colour and image. I begin to think you would - if you could - make a great leap were you able to retain your use of words, whilst at the same time experimenting with metre of some kind. Just a thought.

This piece makes all of the colors of the spectrum flip up and dance gracefully around the mind of the reader! It's amazing, as usual, and produces, again as always, vivid and brilliant imagery!
Good luck in the contest, as I know you'll do well with the gorgeous poem.
