The knife of betrayal runs deep through my heart,
For what I once wanted, has been taken from me.
The cruel smile upon your lips,
Has tainted my own.
You utter words without thought,
No care or consequence for what they mean,
No regard for who they hurt,
No regard for how they will be seen.
My spirits once high and gay,
Now swallowed by your malicious rays.
My only question to ask is why?
Why do you torment me?

I was utterly embarrassed by my sister, and she thought she was just "teasing". Without understanding the words she had spoken, I wonder if I am thought of with revulsion?
