I Want it All, and I Shall Have it

Turn on the screen, looking for a reply
Left him wanting more as always
Sign off right at the peak of his pride
Just to tear him down another night
For now he is offline
Too bad, he'll miss the fun
But three others are watching
Drooling, Dying, Reaching, Holding, Wanting, Lusting
All for something they'll never get
All for the enjoyment of one
I take what I can get
And sometimes what I can't
I want it all and one day I'll have it
Piles of cash in the corner
More men than I can count
Brillance to last a lifetime
A bigger home than Bill Gates
Clothes made of the only the most exquisite silk

Did I mention the attention?

Oh how I want it all

And I get what I want

One at a time I'll draw them closer

My destiny is to have it all

For now I'll stick with the attention

I'm pretty greedy when it comes to myself

Author notes

The sin I chose was greed. My experience is sort of like lust because I craved the attention of others but since I was too afraid to act that way in person I became someone else online. That was how I got attention and money too for simple things. (not porn, I mean selling stuff like old clothes, books, etc.) ~Emily Strange

Greed is quite similar to lust, is it not? I'm glad that you can tell the difference.

Your poem made me think a lot... that's good. Haha. Thank you for your entry.
