For everyone
there is a beginning
as well as an ending.
A journey in which to travel
a yearning that needs satisfying
a destination to find.
The choices are there
for all to find
all one needs to do
is see them for what they are...
choices.
No right ones
no bad ones.
Just choices.
In this journey we call life.

For sure, Trekkergirl. I reckon we are in a school of learning. Your piece says just what it is...we make our own choices and our beds and whatever they be, they be. Life is one big journey alright and we all learn different lessons whatever our choices. A short piece but one that I think will speak openly and true to anyone reading.

My grandmother (mother's mother) used to say; "how do you know you've made a mistake until you've made it..." Didn't make much sense to me as a youngster but I surely know what it means now. In relation to your poem, it is brought to the surface in my life. Choices... we all have to make them. The "bad" ones usually give us a life lesson. They teach us that there are always consequences. The "good" ones make us feel accomplished, and successful! The “right decision is always best and I think we know which is which when we are confronted with a choice.
Your poem is poignant, and did not need to be verbose to get the point across. Good work poet! Your "Personal Journey" includes many of us!
