T'was a long time ago...
Where each night was the day,
And the moon danced in decay.
Streets made of bones
(no use for any stones),
The trees grew bloody limbs,
And each child sang dark hymns.
Nightmares were wished upon
After the final sleepy yawn,
And each of every kind
dreamed a day without dawn.
Creeking doors, cobwebbed halls,
Bloody drips upon each wall.
Cauldrons boiling, bodies spoiling,
Witches making their final call.
Warewolves howling, bats swooping,
Pumpkins laughing, and owls hooting.
Monsters of all kinds,
Madness in all minds,
This was a time
When it was easy to find
All creatures aligned.
Chaos and insanity,
Words only spoken in profanity,
Were the laws prevailed on such dark humanity.
But t'was no better time,
For each undead soul
To live in such darkness
They felt was divine.
So on this Hallow's Eve
You must surely believe,
Of a land once made of bones,
Where the wind whined and moaned.
honesty always appreciated

Very creative. I felt though, that the ending lacked meaning. Perhaps it should be corrected, perhaps it was meant to be broken. In any case I enjoyed reading this, it certainly grants the writer wicked amounts of credit. =)
