As if the song of love was sung,
Through the teeth of a saddened tongue,
Like the sound of a heart that skips a beat;
As tires screech on a slippery street.
And In that time where all is still,
Bones of warmth begin to chill,
As I search for your face in the clouds of now,
Yet your lips no longer meet my brow.
Journeying blind hearted for so long,
I forgot of a love that you kept strong,
Though one-sided you remained intent;
And I feel ive lost someone heavensent.
Where time was once a sweeping wind,
And emotion a bitter winding bend,
I slowly drifted from your arms,
From such true love I heard silent alarms.
In the face of death I always thought of one,
A soul of brilliance like an emerging sun;
Yet now in this dim slight of hand,
A queen is lost within the times of sand.
What I couldnt say for so long,
I think now hurts in every song,
Like karma making an idiot out of a man,
Who never fully could understand.
Author notes
A sorrowful heart just wants to say,
I see now the pain of emptiness day by day.
Where one is madly in love,
Yet the other has flown like a fleeting dove.
I am sorry beyond expression,
And am ashamed at my memory in reflection.
Know you were the only love ive ever known,
And I hope your happiness is now full blown.
