Valentine

with out you it isn't worth living
before you life had no meaning

that empty void filled with anger
topped with hatred and left to fester
it all came to a loose end one tragic
moment in a life time of sin

left alone to view the world and
how it had been to think and plot
on how to bring it all to a end
bent on every thing
left with nothing
a deaf silence

a hatred so thick so dark
and demised there is no
exaggeration to describe
a hatred to turn them all
on ends lifted once and for all
by the unlikely end

love once lost to hatreds spin
now cast away by love to bring
it to its end

to forget the one who ended the pain
would be a mistake only a fool would make

I know it is early and I know it is late but to not ask
would be a mistake would you be my lovely valentine

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

This is so sweet! Wonderfully done, Lucian. Keep up the great work, I especially liked the fourth stanza. -Liz

Baby, I think this is one of the most special things you have given me! I love you so much and yes, I will forever be your Valentine. I am your love, your wife, your partner, your Penguin. I love this poem and you with everything I have. I am so happy knowing you are in my life and I would be miserable and so lonely without you. Thank you for being in my life.

    I love you!

    Always your loving Wife.

    Virginia
