"Revived"

My eyelids kiss, and I fade
dropping gently down
into that hopeless grave
where we found Summer's dying grip
and began to slowly stitch up our Hearts,
blending into one,
faces bleached new and tipped upwards
to catch the Sunlight seeping golden-blush
around the edges of the grey clouds
they left behind
watching as our lips paired off,
and hid in the Sun's warm yellow glow
that pulled the roots from under the ground
to reach our breath
as the storm began to break.

Lovely work! A softer side to one of my favourite poets...
