For The First Time

I talked with you last night
for such a long time
I even told you things
if you were mine.

At first I thought I'd be dreaming
you seemed a little too unreal
I couldn't help my heart
and how it began to feel.

I found a new friendship
what could be so much more
Could my dreams finally be coming true
and you're everything I've been looking for?

I want so much to believe
but it's so hard for me
I've been hurt so much before
but I still believe in destiny.

We've started talking for a reason
not sure what that reason is
Your already someone I think highly of
and I never expected this.

I want you as a friend
maybe you'd be mine
I feel my dreams coming true
for the first time.

I can understand your fear
and how it's just too good
All I can say is follow your heart
and you'll do what you should.

I want you happy
you deserve it and so much more
I want your dreams to come true
from until forever, and then forever more.

    breath taking

    this poem took my breath away..before me and my bf started dating again this is how i felt. if i couldnt have him as my soul mate i would have him as my best friend...and i told him that and look were it got us. together at last. i wish you luck with this person! this poem is wonderful!
