Welcome to Nowhere Signs

Nowhere is where i stand
hand on my heart
running with my pulse!
been gone too long!
this is where I belong!
all the prophets of the free market
are in their parlors eating rockets!
all the fools with Che shirts are digging
ditches for the revolt!
it will never come!
This country has too much hope!
That is the best news!
Keep it there!
All the radicals of the right are licking their wounds and rubbing their eyes!
Cyanide pills at the ready...
waiting for left-wing jack-booted thugs to come crashing through the doors!
Guns off safety!
Both sides are set for the fight that will eventualize!
I pray to GOD it never happens!
I pray to the Lord that we all listen...to reason!
I pray for our country to heal
to walk anew under the sun of HOPE and PROMISE and not down a dark avenue towards Anarchy and national disintegration!
I pray our empire does not fall to the barbarians at our walls of defense!
although everyone knows every empire falls!
We must adjust to change and keep our national soul intact....
lest we fracture and we fade...
Keep America true and kind and great!

  • However hard it is, your plea is heard and posed on lips desperate for change and upward momentum. But until we can work from a platform of unity - there will always be the haves and the have nots - the great and the small - the rich and the poor.

There can be no unity until America takes a strong look at its foreign policy as well as a hard look at its people's needs. We may be heading in the right direction - but it will take many years, and consistent change to make this land as great as our founding fathers dreamed it could be.

Your words are heard - spoken well in poetry - and admired for their wish. Thank you for sharing this work. ~The Blue Lamp Post
