When do they stop?
They don't.
Not ever?
No, not ever, Little One.
I don't think I can survive this.
Yes, you will survive, more than that, you'll thrive.
You'll see, Dear One, someday, far from now, this will have been a long time ago,and you will smile with peaceful comprehension of this momentary pain.
Momentary??? All of our days are filled with suffering, struggling for one small moment of happiness, one single night without fear, one day without tears and pain...how can this be called momentary?
You seek to change all the world at once, My Child, when all that is needed is to
change yourself, less than that even, to change your mind and its perceptions.
Trials are bitter , but they are the schoolhouse of the soul.
Schoolhouse? What can be learned from this misery except tears and pain?
Ah...exactly! These tears are a sweet blessing, a gift to wash away hopelessness
to fill one's life with living water; and the pain, oh yes, the pain, it is a powerful
force that lead's to discovering one's own compassion, one's ability to love others. You are learning so many important lessons already, my Brave One.
I...I...don't understand...what have I learned?
Understanding is not necessary, Child, but do not lose heart...you are feeling not
only your own pain but that of others so keenly that you shed tears for them as
numerous as those for yourself. And as you shed this living water for others you
become more fully human and can begin to let the pain lead you deeper into the
mystery of selfless Love...You are being transformed.
I...I cannot bear it! It is too much!...
Yes, you can...Look back to the many other trials of your life, those of your
children, even further to the trials within your own family of birth...have you not grown to be able to bear these things with dignity? To be able to exercise
compassion and grace toward those who you once could only see with eyes of
suspicion and distrust? You have gained many gifts, this one of perseverance and
another, a heart of compassion even for those you despised in the past...This trial
shall grow your capacity to love selflessly. This day will one day have been a long
time ago...
...And I will look back and smile with peaceful comprehension of it...I think I begin to understand but...I still feel so many tears and so much pain...
And do you not also feel the light of hope touching all with encouragement
to 'press on'?
I do...somehow, I do...
You see? It is not the world that must be changed, but you, my Beloved One.
And each one, changed within themself. That is why the trials never stop. We need
them to spark within us compassion and new life, new hope, new Love.
Thank you Companion, for your wisdom and for your love... stay with me awhile longer...please?
I am always with you, Dearest One...as light is to day and darkness is to night.
Fear not this physical separation, for it too is momentary. My Love for you is eternal. A Dieu, Ma Petite Coeur.

My thoughts are that you are truly wise and have articulated your wisdom in a soft and nurturing way here very cleverly. I read this wondering of the source (the voice of wisdom). It could be the future self speaking to the child, it could be a conversation of prayer.... what ever your intended scenario is.... I loved reading this. It has an air of peace and faith and guidance and deep perception of the larger reality. It brought a sense of calm over me.
So great to find a new post from you in my quick fav's.

Astounding...what a cry out and I am sure a gold to me that takes the prompt to a level of understanding of the tears that are cried, what they are really meant for, inspiring to say the least, I just was so captivated because I am a weeper at times, when in intercession I am not sure what the weeping is about at times and that is awesome, Remember the Psalms tells us he holds the tears in a bottle, maybe that is what he pours out from time to time. This is excellent. Blessings.

No wonder you haven't written in a while, been saving this up. Excellent, thank you for sharing. That which does not kill us makes us stronger.
Good to see your words again.
