I have a lump in my breast
the good doctor
ran a series of tests
Know patience
waiting for the results
I lay down unable to rest
too much pain
bulging in my chest
Holding tight
waiting for the pain to rest
I try not to worry
and I ask God
to please help me
They think it spread
to my overies
More tests
with a microscope
A list of foods
to stay away from
I wish they could tell me more
as I hit the floor
going out their door
Author notes
Darlene Long
At 27 years old being diagnosed with cancer and thinking it spread I was not in good space full of worry and all stressed out. It was a long healing process and took a lot out of me.
