I saw an empty room
I saw the rain that fell upon your lips
Fade into obscurity
These colors are just reflections
Upon tinted glass
And shadows are just tricks of the mind
Egotistical water droplets and singeing lies
Metaphorical proof
That you couldn't see past human obstacles
Barricaded eyes
Words whispered from besotted ears
To borrowed mouths
Anemia aches drained bodies
Just as cancer riddles muscles
We're just eko's of our own dyslexia
Printed pages and words of lesson
move and rithe to unseen shadows
Were just tricks of our own safeguarded minds
Embodiment of a sleeping dormancy
Set out with whitened hands
Of withering joy and eyes of fading light;
"Magdelena sleeps"
