Fields of October Sky

Missing image

mesmerizing scene
soon to become featured in
farmer's almanac -

and I wonder if
we'll have a harvest this year,
after our days spent

spellbound; as wheat shaft
honors sun, rising in sway
o'er glorious plains...

Author notes

Image provided by contest host; prompt is this awesome photo "taken early morning in a wheat field near Othello, Washington."

nice haiku bu the rules state one haiku per page meaning you needed to enter one haiku three different times but the ku here are pretty good

      Thank you, Swan Song...

I appreciate your hosting this contest. However, as per your comments, I'd like to mention this piece is actually ONE Haiku, classified as a 'triple haiku'... As you can see, this poem is not three seperate kus at all. I have one continuous thread and only a single theme, being 'Fields of October Sky'... Thank you for the kudos, and congrats to the winners... This is an awesome image, by the way. Thanks.

      Sorry about the last reply...

I just noticed the title of this contest - you are right - it's supposed to be Haiku.

      Thank you for the kudos!!

I appreciate your stopping by to read my work, although I didn't see any reference to the haiku format in the contest rules. I may have missed it, but after another quick check, I saw no such requirement. Thanks again, have a great day!!
