Listen to the small still voice,
That guides you on your path.
Listen to the simple voice,
Which tells you turn from wrath.
It leads to love your fellow man
And calms your weary soul.
It teaches of His gospel plan
In a world of sin and woe.
Oh listen to this holy voice,
That illuminates man's minds.
Listen and heed this gentle voice,
And all this shall you find.
Power to stand above the world
In virtue not of sin.
Peace when troubles around you swirl
For you have let Him in.
His love shall encircle you about
His joy will fill your heart,
Leaving you with no room for doubt
And this is but a start.
For all he has and so much more,
Yea more than we can reason,
He’ll give us wings that we may soar,
If we can only listen.
Be not then in sorrow,
But listen to His word.
Listen now and follow,
The Spirit of The Lord.

Hi,
I thought this rhymed pretty well.
Myself, I am spiritual not necesarily religious in belief, I usually find that preaching poetry can be a little on the overwhelming, sometimes boring side - yet your poem has a touching aspect from which good honest people can grow and prosper, another thing the bible - (as well as many other holy book from different religions) - speak of and teach.
This poem was well worth the read. So keep writing my friend,
