Once the darkening skies,
seemed to overtake this world,
yet now as I look to the sunlit skies,
I can see the fireflies.
They were there all along
I was just too caught up to see,
that this world was more than it seemed.

this was incredible! i loved the imagery in this. even though this seems sorrowful, a longing for a beautiful past in which the beauty was overlooked, it was stunning, it was a captivating poem.
