I search to find my beautiful rose
then a safe place to replant and watch it grow
each petal so soft and just the right size
confident and secure so no need for disguise
and as I watch this flower unfold
with each thorn that appears my story is told
good times when I mostly wore a big smile
and even the bad that seemed not so worth while
my tears have been captured and placed deep inside
protected by layers of red petals to hide
some days when the sun is to hot to handle
my rose and I find a cool dark corner lit with candle
while the day still continues we keep out of sight
until we both feel comfortable back out in the light

Rose = my soul
This is different from what I usually write, to be honest I didn't really understand what I was writing about until I was done and I read it all the way through.
