It spins and twirls with all your emotions
Its my carnival ride, will you come join me?
Look at all the rides, the freaks, and the attractions
See the clown with his big yellow eyes
Watch as he goes round and round on my merry go round
Come join me on my carnival ride
The nightingale will sing to you
She'll haunt you in your dreams
Mesmerized by her voice
You might become her puppet
Won't you come play with her?
My carnival ride is just a game
Of cat and mouse and if you dare
It will fulfill your every fantasy
And leave you wanting more
Like heroin you crave it
But you'll never know
When that next shot into your veins
Might be your very last
Still want to come on my carnival ride?
What did you think

Wow very well put! I can relate, It does feel like a circus with so many emotions going up and down. Usually they are mine lol. Excellent write here, very creative!

Funny, how I mention about your last poem reminding me of a heroin addict, and here in the next, you mention the shitty drug

Tis not much a surprise though, as reading this started reminding me of the freakish roller coaster ride that is my existance, filled with the things I do to manage through the days, and watching the company I keep float along side of me in the gutter, some occasionally slipping under the surface of the sludge.
