© Mother Nature In Love

Missing image
Daydreaming, looking down upon him, as he proudly walks past
Wanting to speak to him, not confident it would last
He's sweaty and hot, as he works day to day
So she offers him a breeze, so discomfort can run astray
He goes to the river, for a much needed drink
She makes the water cold, wondering what he would think
He is satisfied, for his thirst is now quenched
He looks up and smiles, she dreams that he smiles at her
He loves the rain, so she grants him natural showers of love
Rain so pure, so perfect, he guesses only to be from the heavens above
Fruit trees and fish so abundant, he ask, "how is this so"
She gazes back at him saying, "because I love you more than you know"
He does not hear her enchanted, beautiful, and echoing voice
But he senses her presence, as if without choice
He looks up again and smiles, saying, "thank you for your kindness"
She says you're welcome, by flowers in bloom, wind's music, by love's blindness
He wonders how gorgeous her being, her aura
Knowing if only to see her, how he would adore her
Then he looks and sees the truth is no longer grim
He sees her beauty in "her", in nature, that profoundly surrounds him
Mother nature in love, a love impossible and forbidden
However, she won't stop loving, even if only to keep it hidden

Thank You for Your Entry ~

Intriguing; I had a feeling this was a Mother Nature poem but wasn't 100% on that til the end Everyone treats her like an obligation so I like this for that

    best of luck
