Now in the autumn of my life
A widow not a wife
My hair has tones of red
My skin so pale
I am living among the dead
Dressed in dark colours
I morn the loss of love
A life time shared with one
now gone above
I crumble in side just like a flower
Who has seen its last hours
I tremble in the wind of change
As time passes me by again
I gather up all my hope
For the years of winter to cope
I still have a few summer smiles
In the eyes of my loving child
But then the rain of grief
Comes back in the night like a thief
It robs my sky’s of blue
And my feet are getting wet a knew
Now when my winter comes
I will be numb I will be done
I will be the lonely one
