as I look to the moon
then whisper to the master
is water coming soon?
He shows to me a ladle
and asks me what I think
then reaches out to cradle
what could become extinct.
Accepting what I'm able
I see a moondrop fall
whilst sitting at life's table
I hear the warning call.
I sip and taste the potion
and then I realise
why I feel raw emotion
pehaps I'll summarise.
Don't waste another minute
the future is at hand
The moon has death within it
so leave it a dry land.
Author notes
Sending missiles to the moon to search for water in my view is dangerous. We would be better served looking at the planet we live on now. There is so much we could do if only we would save our recources.who knows what untold damage we do to the solar system every time we abuse her.

Lovely flow to this, great depth.
I also thought it was a stupid thing to do - when so much here 'below' should be taken care of first. Clean up our own water, then we don't need to spend so much money searching elsewhere - and can you imagine who would benefit from that anyways?? not the 'common' average person I'm sure.......
Wonderful message, nicely done
thank you for your entry
best wishes in the contest

Very interesting take on the
current moon events. I don't buy a thing they say...you really have to wonder WHY we never went back...I have heard som many interesting theories on the subject, it would take forever to discuss them all...suffice to say, think it was a stupid thing to do...but I don't believe we aren't really on the moon..
Thanks for giving everyone something to think about...and for capturing a bit of very esoteric history!
Take care...Best wishes in the contest and always!
Write on and on and on...

Excellent
You have captured my thought on this subject.
We have no business messing with the moon.
God made it to light the night for us and here
we go poking holes in it. I hope it is solid
and has not a drop of water in it.

So true
What a beautiful way to view a problem this Earth is having. Good job. I hope you get some kind of award for it.

Very Interesting Piece
I found this piece to be quit interesting...I love the play on "Apollo". Great part of today's events captured the poet, pen & page.

Didn't even know that it happened ... !
Heard something to the affect in passing today and am curious. what you state is true in every respect. If we were to live together with nature here, we wouldn't be searching. But seeing as we have not as of yet, then I believe for our own survival we must search. Because I believe that the way we have grown accustomed to living we will in some way always be searching. Or With parish ... .

I am of the same opinion as you on the moon-landing. I can't think of what will happen when humans actually get into the sky...I can only hope I don't live to see them destroy it.

Beautifully rhymed and flowed as always

But remember one thing, it was the picture of the isolated blue blob as the only coloured item in an infinity of black peppered with tiny white lights as men looked back from the moon that kick-started a lot of the current environmental movement. I'm all for looking and working to keep this rock in perfect order, but I wanna know all about the rest too

Thanks for your great comments as always.I still question if man did actualy walk on the moon and if so why has no-one done it since.Like you I want to know what else is out there but not if it means the start of it's destruction
