the world doesn't matter

Shooting star
                    or
                        satellite

to my rose tinted eyes
they're all stars.
all wishes i'm making

hoping that one will fall into the palm
of my hand
and i can save the star dust for a rainy day.

as the world flashes by the car window
i wonder...
if you too are staring at time
slipping away too quickly.

the hour glass is tipped
sand falling
slowly maybe...

we have time to grow
                                  to understand
                                                        to love

the smell of wet leaves brings me
to
    and
away

from
        you
every
day.

hopefully the snow won't cover up
all the colours i'm seeing

and that woodsmoke and evergreen will keep us together
longer than i ever thought possible at 15.

I think i'm finally doing this right
we're on our way

with you driving

and me

happily staring at you
from the
passenger seat.

You know, I can't really choose a favorite stanza because it's all together, you know? It all ties together in a way without the rest each can't really stand alone. It's kind of beautiful.

My favorite line/sentence though would have to be 'happily staring at you from the passenger seat' because it really ties back into the song.

I loved how you used the lyrics, but I wouldn't have expected any less.

    Good job!

    Why, you're welcome.

I've been wanting to hold this for awhile now. It's been sitting in my drafts actually.
