Heavenly blues

it tasted like sand and gunpowder

i felt sick as the residue came alive
the fresh air was the only escape
the breeze was like ice sliding across the surface of a lake

the sun was getting heavier
and hotter
as the elements
slipped together
and fused

the shadows
were expanding and contracting
swirling
and crackling

I watched the beach
each individual grain of sand
shifted

I watched the floor
peel backwards
and fall apart

Each breath was a dream
It was time to accept myself
there was nothing to be afraid of

Please tell me what you think

I've been meaning to comment on this. The floor peeling backwards was great. I am always happy to see something new by you. Hope you are well.
