End Of Days

we throw the name God around
so many times to curse or bless
that we've given up the idea he exists

without even meaning to
we've sealed our fate
for things yet to come for us

we think and feel ready
for those days of end to come
but no one really is

just have faith
don't make a sin
is all they say

we all sin everyday of every hour
worshiping stars on tv or music artists
even clothing or other items

how can we be ready
for the end of days
when no one allows us to

people in churches pray
then turn around and sin anyway
atheists are running this country anymore

we can't say Merry Christmas
on the day your son Jesus was born
yet dress scary or say evil is allowed

we're so far from your word anymore
you've given us space
to think things for ourselves

only to slip more from you grace
he who has an ear let them hear
forgiveness is the key

love you neighbor as yourself
do to others as you'd like to be treated
keep in mind the 10 commandments

kingdom of heaven is at hand
I'm ready, are you
